Origin, soil, and respect for nature are the foundations of Granza. Its name comes from the grains, straw, and unhusked ears that remain from wheat and other cereals such as barley after winnowing and sieving.
This wine is the result of meticulous care for the land, leading us to convert our finest vineyards into organic production, including the Valuenga, Camino de San Bernardo, and La Nava plots. Located near the Monastery of San Bernardo in Valbuena de Duero, they belong to D.O. Ribera del Duero.
Organic wine: Certified ES-ECO-031-CL, EU Agriculture.

THE ORGANIC GOLDEN MILE – ECOLOGY AND SUSTAINABILITY
Granza Roble Tempranillo is an organic wine. It is produced through careful grape selection in the vineyard and winery. After 6 months ageing in American oak barrels, it is refined in bottle for another 6 months.
This wine matures slowly, sometimes delayed by spring frosts, with harvest taking place during the first three weeks of October. It shows marked elegance and high-quality grapes. The vineyards grow on deep soils, intermediate between clay and loam-sandy textures.
Intense cherry colour with purple hues.
Straightforward and complex, with aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry and blueberry, floral hints of violet, and subtle mineral notes. Well balanced with tertiary aromas from barrel ageing, including vanilla, black pepper, licorice, and roasted coffee.
Soft tannins on entry, with a long, fruity finish and hints of toast.
Our organic wines are committed to caring for the land by extracting the best from it and are increasingly in demand by consumers who prefer natural, healthy and high-quality products.
Granza was created with the aim of offering the best attributes of the land in the form of wine, respecting the aromas of the grapes and flavours while maintaining a continuous respect for the environment. Hence, the name GRANZA comes from the grains, straw and unhusked ears of wheat and other seeds such as barley that remain after winnowing and sifting.
