A RUEDA SPARKLING WINE INSPIRED BY THE MILLÉSIMÉ STYLE THAT ACHIEVES EXCELLENCE AFTER THREE YEARS OF AGEING IN RIMA

To make this sparkling wine, we have used Verdejo grapes of excellent quality from our Las Marcas vineyard in Villalba de Adaja, inspired by the Millésimé style that indicates the excellence of its vintage. This Emina Brut Gran Añada has been carefully produced using the traditional champenoise method by the Emina Winery in Medina del Campo.

THE RESULT OF A UNIQUE VINTAGE

The 2019 vintage was characterised by higher than usual average temperatures, without being an excessively hot year. The rains in April and a few weeks before the harvest began helped to successfully complete the vine cycle. This led to the harvesting of extremely high-quality Verdejo grapes. This is such a special sparkling wine that it bears the label “great vintage” as a result of its impeccable production process, which, from tirage to disgorging, has exceeded 36 months, during which time the wine has remained in contact with its lees, obtaining delicious aromas of fresh pastries that combine with aromas of apple and apricot, among others.

Bodega Emina

EMINA is much more than two wineries in two key designations of origin in our country, Ribera del Duero and Rueda. It owes its name to the “hemina”, the daily ration of wine that a Cistercian monk was allowed to drink.

Carlos Moro conceived the soul of Emina in the late 1990s as two projects for producing quality wines committed to sustainability and the environment. Emina Ribera is the first comprehensive winery project in the world and the first Spanish company to calculate the carbon footprint of one of its wines.
