Designation of Origin Ribeiro
Carlos Moro Finca San Cibrao (Designation of Origin Ribeiro) is a white wine made from grapes grown in the most qualitative area of the estate that bears the same name in Ribadavia, Orense, on the fertile siliceous soils of the banks of the river Miño. It is a 30-year-old estate of controlled production that faces the south, located in the Miño valley where the most representative native varieties of the DO Ribeiro, such as Treixadura, Godello and Albariño grow and are part of the Carlos Moro Estate Wines collection. These varieties have a unique winemaking potential for excellent white wines.
The wine
The selection of the three varieties of grapes comes from the vineyard, while the exact percentage of them results from the final blend made in the winery and the maturation on fine lees provides this unique and unrepeatable wine with personality and balance
This wine shows a brilliant pale straw yellow colour with greenish notes. The nose, which is fresh, intense and elegant, is dominated by fruity green apple notes among notes of freshly cut hay and subtle notes of white flowers. In the mouth, it has a lively and elegant structure with a fresh and fat body that provides a pleasant lingering finish.
Pairing
This wine pairs perfectly with dishes from the typical Galician cuisine such as octopus, scallops and, of course, seafood. It is also very suitable for pairing with cheese as well as white and oily fish.
