Produced in Salvaterra de Miño, Emina Albariño is the reflection of Galicia. It is made using slow fermentation at low temperatures in a delicate blend of grapes from Condado do Tea and Val do Salnés to produce a wine with balanced acidity. Its freshness and lightness make it the perfect accompaniment to fish and Asian dishes such as sushi. Its straw yellow colour and golden reflections are reminiscent of the Atlantic force characteristic of Galician vineyards.
‘It is a tribute to Galicia. It combines in a single glass of Albariño the generosity of its soils, the force of its ocean and the bounty of its sunny days.’
THE REFLECTION OF GALICIA
Produced in Salvaterra de Miño, in the Condado do Tea region, the grapes are harvested by hand in 12 kg boxes.
Fermentation is slow, at low temperatures, to preserve the aromatic integrity of the grapes.
After fermentation, the wine is aged on lees for approximately 4 months, where it acquires the right balance between acidity, freshness and volume.
Straw yellow colour with golden hues, clean and bright.
A frank, highly intense nose with floral, citrus and pineapple notes standing out against a vegetal background that provides persistence and balance.
On the palate, it is a balanced wine with an Atlantic character. Excellent weight in the mid-palate. Very dense throughout, full of well-integrated fruit. A wine to be enjoyed on its own.
EMINA is much more than two wineries in two key designations of origin in our country, Ribera del Duero and Rueda. It owes its name to the “hemina”, the daily ration of wine that a Cistercian monk was allowed to drink.
Carlos Moro conceived the soul of Emina in the late 1990s as two projects for producing quality wines committed to sustainability and the environment. Emina Ribera is the first comprehensive winery project in the world and the first Spanish company to calculate the carbon footprint of one of its wines.
