RENTO 2017 - THE WINERY OF THE RENAISSANCE
Rento is a signature red wine made from Tempranillo grapes grown in the Ribera del Duero region. A wine made to be desired, from its conception combining the deep-rooted tradition of the 16th-century winery owned by the Carlos Moro family in Olivares de Duero, the heart of the Milla de Oro of the Designation of Origin. This great wine is made with selected grapes from the Zurita vineyards and then aged in 50 French oak barrels from the best cooperages.

A WINE WITH HISTORY
Rento is an acronym for Renacimiento (Renaissance) and is produced in a building dating back to the Spanish Golden Age.
The Renacimiento Winery is located in Olivares de Duero (Valladolid), in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region. To understand what this wine represents, we must take a closer look at the winery where it is handcrafted. It is a building with several centuries of history that reflects the winemaking tradition of the Carlos Moro family.
The family has been in charge of the house since the 16th century. Later, Carlos Moro decided to restore the buildings and the winery and create a wine of the highest quality in keeping with history and tradition, but adapted to current tastes.
It is a truly unique and singular winery, whose structure is a beautiful exposed brick coffered ceiling that houses 50 barrels from the best cooperages, which only in years when the vintage is excellent give birth to Rento.

Of all his creations, Renacimiento is Carlos Moro's most personal winery, as it has been home to part of his family for over two hundred years, when it was acquired from the Jesuits along with several of the best vineyards in the area.
Its wine, Rento, is made in a very traditional way from the queen variety of the Ribera del Duero, Tempranillo, which is selected exclusively from the Pagos de Zurita vineyards in Olivares de Duero. Only around 15,000 bottles are produced, depending on each vintage.
