TEMPRANILLO FROM A UNIQUE VINEYARD

After alcoholic fermentation in French oak vats, malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels. Ageing in lightly toasted French oak barrels complements the fruity characteristics of the Tempranillo grape. Finally, prolonged ageing in the bottle is essential to achieve its lively, elegant and noble tannins. This is an intense, rich, flavourful and distinctive wine with all the idiosyncrasies of the vineyards in the upper Sonsierra region. A very limited and exquisite production of this Pago red wine, made from Tempranillo grapes.

WINE TASTING

Visual

Vibrant, intense purple colour with crimson edges.

Nose

Aromas of fine black and forest fruits. Pronounced siliceous minerality from the terroir.

Palate

Fine tannins with great length and freshness. Elegance and personality, with certain more Atlantic characteristics.

PAIRING

When pairing this CM Matarromera Viña Garugele, it is important to take into account the style of the wine. As it is a high-quality crianza red wine, a very special dish should be chosen to accompany it.

Viña Garugele

Garu is a wine that hides some of the best-kept secrets of the DOCa Rioja. It is greatly influenced by its terroir, by an endless landscape and Tempranillo grapes from our vineyards in Labastida, near Monte Garu, from which it takes its name.

This is a wine with great aromatic expression, lots of minerality and structure, produced by Bodega CM de Matarromera.
