Emina Winery has always been committed to the potential and exclusivity of its vineyards. Emina Verdejo on lees is a white wine made from grapes grown in our own vineyards and, in order to respect the terroir exclusivity as much as possible, the yeast that carries out the fermentation process has been also selected from our own Verdejo plots in the Designation of Origin Rueda.
This wine is made from grapes grown in our Finca de Las Piedras, where the maturity and age of the vineyard produces perfect and homogeneous grapes. The near area of pinewoods and the sandy soil ensure the freshness of an exclusive grape.
After a careful winemaking process, this white wine from the DO Rueda is fermented for at least 2 months in a stainless steel tank and then, it is fermented for 7 months in new French oak barrels, providing it with an exclusive delicacy and elegance.
Barrel-Fermented VerdejoEmina displays a clean and bright yellow straw colour with golden reflections.
The nose is dominated by tropical fruit aromas intertwined with rosemary and anise aromas that are typical of the Verdejo variety, in addition to aromas of spices, brioche-type fresh pastry and delicious butter derived from its maturation in French oak barrels.
In the mouth, it has a great fat structure with a wide volume.
