PAIRING
A majestic wine for barbecues, stews, game meats, oxtail, red meats and cured cheese.
Emina Atio is a red author wine made from grapes grown in a specific hamlet in the upper area of the Duero Valley located in the prestigious town of Valbuena de Duero. It is made only from the best grapes of the Tempranillo variety grown in Finca El Horno in years with excellent production. With a very limited production, it is matured in oak barrels for more than 16 months. Then, it is aged in a bottle for at least 18 months.
Its main peculiarity is the structure highlighted by the origin of the grapes and defined by the character of limestone soil, which is very poor in organic matter.
DESCRIPTION
Emina Atio is a red wine made from grapes of the Tempranillo variety that has a unique and distinguishable personality as it bears the name of the legendary warrior, Atio, a member of the council of elders in the Vaccei tribe that fought against the Roman Empire and practiced viticulture just a few kilometres from the Emina Ribera Winery more than 2,000 years ago.
TASTING
Matured for 18 months in the best French Allier oak barrels.the power, elegance and maturity of the wine are perceived in powerful primary sensations of very ripe dark fruits.
A highly expressive wine made from Tempranillo grapes grown in the Horno hamlet, a truly limestone plot at high altitude located in Valbuena de Duero.
Clean and bright, with very dark cardinal notes. Despite its long maturation in new barrels, primary aromas are perfectly blended with tertiary aromas of spices, cocoa, tobacco, soft toasted bread, cedar and toasted notes. Its mature nose with excellent complexity stands out. A powerful, elegant and intense wine.
In the mouth it is a rich and savoury wine that lingers both on the entry and aftertaste.
